"I have always had an appreciation of animals. When I studied veterinarian medicine, endangered species, philosophy and psychology when I was young person, ideas kept evolving. Then I spent decades designing, building and developing. I have seen the waste in these industries and I have solutions for many of them. It has always seemed unreasonable to trap something while reducing its movement and enjoyment. The honorable idea of treating every species well, allowing for their kind reasonable treatment safe guarded as a society's philosophy and respect is the way every human should walk on this earth. The species with the smallest voice or no voice, often have no rights in this world. You must be a positive change everywhere they go. That’s how I see myself and many others. We all succeed around some parameters to Coexist with other species on this planet. The philosophy of greed needs to change. For many, the animals and plants are so far down on their list of considerations; only taken into account when they are an obstruction to the wealth or land that they wish to acquire. The idea of money is a good exchange of effort and ideas. However the philosophy of kids to adults hurting animals or plants or being destructive needs to change. Laws need to tear down the top offenders and change our philosophy into respect and love for every species. Animals are not a chattel. We are done with a disposable society. We are done having our laws used against us as a barrier to improvements. We are done with the laws used against the people to separate us from good laws to help our earth and harm our relationship with nature We are done with killing everything as a solution for anything. The misuse of and greed of the most powerful regulating this world overwhelmingly damaging to the world. We hope to be a positive influence in helping safe migration, helping clean up environments, tracking the greed and people/companies contributing to pollution. My life is an accumulation of bearing witness to what our society is and the desire for many of us to want it improved. Animal safe Migration is a welcoming group of people that knows there is a way for everyone to get involved to do good while on this earth. We can make a difference to help every species. There are enough of us, there is good in this world that out balances the small percentage of bad. We all live better winning daily challenges for every species if every day we make a positive change. When you want to move a mountain you do it one stone at a time."

"My husband Sean and I began Animal Safe Migration with the purpose of helping animals, large and small, to be able to migrate in a safe and protected manner. Imagine, walking to the store everyday of your life and then one day you must cross a huge highway to get to the store, and in doing so nobody stops for you or slows down. You and basically risking your life just to survive? That is what happens to animals around the world. Humans come in, build homes, developments, and highways. The Animals that have always gone that route can no longer safely travel home.
I can date my love for animals back to my early childhood. One specific memory holds my heart. I was in 4th grade and had just gotten home from school. As I was walking along the side of my house I heard a tiny little meow; at first I wasn’t sure of what I had heard, but upon hearing it again, I began to look in the ivy that grew along the sides of my house. I looked and looked, following the faint little meow each time. After a few minutes I had discovered a newborn kitten with the umbilical cord still attached… It was the smallest kitten I had ever seen. I wrapped her up in a towel and called my mom at work, I didn’t know what else to do. She told me to wrap the kitten up in the heating pad and wait for her to get home from work. My mom brought home some powdered milk that we put in an old Visine bottle so that we could feed the kitten. She was so hungry, she loved the milk and drank until she couldn’t anymore. This is how Spazmo became a part of our family.
On a personal note, I am a mother of four. At one point in time our home was filled with four children, two dogs, five chickens, two guinea pigs, one tortoise, and 5 fish. I love spending my free time with my family, working out, or on the water."

"I joined Animal Safe Migration because I have loved animals ever since I could remember. There has never been a moment that I haven’t been surrounded by a four-legged friend. My love for animals goes far beyond domesticated dogs and cats; I firmly believe that every animal on this earth deserves love and protection. While I was growing up, I would get so sad seeing livestock awaiting their death, or animals mindlessly killed on the sides of the roads. A couple of times there were even coyotes killed in my neighborhood simply for walking through someone's yard. I am here today to help put an end to that madness.
I take pride in what we do here at Animal Safe Migration because I know that no matter how big or small the project, we are making a positive change in this world. Animals deserve so much more than what is given to them."
